Friday 23, Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 of March: the Japanese Cultural Festival, an event taking place in Sorrento, promoted by the Municipality and the Sorrento Foundation.
All that beautiful culture of the Rising Sun has to offer is enclosed in aseries of interesting events and locations. Much emphasis will be givento Japanese cinema, with the vision of several films over the three days,like “A Summer with Coo” by Keiichi Hara, “13 Assassins” by TakashiMiike or “Hana Bi” by Takeshi Kitano.
On September 24th, 2011 the 20th Edition of the fish Festival, will be held in Positano. Organized by the “volunteers for Positano”, the event could not be organized in a better period of time, the end of the Summer.
Starting Friday, September 2nd and finishing Sunday, September 11th – 2011 Positano Myths Festival, one of the most important events of the year on the Amalfi coast. The theme of this edition will focus on the female figure and the crucial role held by them over the years which have also characterized the history of humanity.
This event will take place on the Colli di Fontanelle, a suburb of Sant’Agnello, this year being the 32n Edition of the exhibition-market “Colli di Fontanelle” event to held from August 25th to the 28th in the “Li Campi” location. Organized by the town of Sant’Agnello, in collaboration with the new horizons Association, the show is characterised by the exhibition and sale of numerous local products, with tastings and entertaining shows.

From Monday Aug 15th to Wednesday the 17th, all those who will travel to Massaquano (Vico Equense) will have the opportunity to taste dishes of unique taste, expertly prepared respecting ancient recipes, so as to maintain the authenticity and the delicacy of a time.
There will be 9 shows scheduled for the 15th Edition of the Exhibition Festival, in Sorrento from August 9th to the 28th. Event that will see many artists performing at the “Teatro del Mare” (Sea Theatre of Marina Piccola), with the exception of Massimo Ranieri exhibition to be held in the Theatre in Via Correale.
Held on Saturday the 9th and Sunday the 10th of July, the 37th Edition of the Festival of Lemons in Massa Lubrense.
Organized by the original land of Lemons, and sponsored by the municipality of Massa Lubrense, the festival is completely focused on a local lemon, called “Femminello”. This lemon is characterized by a very clear peel and few seeds inside, which makes it very suitable for the production of limoncello and other gastronomic purposes.
Japanese culture has many fascinating aspects for anyone interested in Oriental traditions, and divergent art forms.
